By Penny Power – Business Author & Human-Centred Speaker
I’ve heard this question a few times recently, from very different people in very different worlds.
Some describe it as an economic cycle. Some describe it as a planetary shift. Some just say, “It feels like something is changing.”
And after everything we’ve lived through – financial crashes, a pandemic, wars, loneliness, burnout, digital overload – I feel that question in my bones and heart.
Not in a naïve, “everything will now be easy” way…
But in a quieter, steadier way. The kind of knowing that comes when we’ve been pushed too far in one direction and can finally see the damage. Something is shifting. New conversations are happening. New words are being spoken: belonging, significance, emotional intelligence.
A sense that we may be moving:
- From survival to rebuilding
- From individual strain to collective strength
- From hustle-driven commerce to community-centred business
- From messages of fear to messages of love
- From loneliness to community, from me to us
- From IQ to EQ
If abundance is coming, I don’t believe it will arrive through institutions, systems, or technology alone.
I believe it will come through being human:
- Community
- Trust
- Contribution
- Emotional intelligence
- And our willingness to truly see one another again
In an AI-powered world, our humanity isn’t being replaced – it’s being revealed as our greatest asset.
Perhaps this next era isn’t about more speed, more scale, or more noise…
Perhaps it’s about more depth, more belonging, and more significance to one another.
And maybe, just maybe, we each get to choose how abundant this time becomes by how bravely we show up for one another.
I’d love to know…
Do you feel a shift too? Are you ready to be part of it?
