It is important that I teach and share in a way that gives hope.
I hope that by sharing my journey you can pinpoint the things you might have done. It is also important to share the moment when you know you are no longer broken. The wave of self-esteem and self-worth that comes back means you can stand tall again, stand up for what is right and return to the person fuelled with self-belief and a passion to continue your quest. This is when you are no longer daunted or fearful of the rejection of others, you are no longer defensive or overcompensating for your broken spirit. Now you are able to rebuild with the energy, confidence and the lessons from the past that used to fill you with self-loathing.

I talk later about happiness – a desire we all have. I have learned that happiness goes in waves. In business we must accept that there will be few moments of calm and predictability. Our happiness can be taken away in an email, a meeting or in a moment. A shock will come, and you feel the drain of energy and happiness leaving you. I now embrace these moments and look forward to happiness. The happiness returns as soon as you move forward and solve a problem. Pride in yourself creates happiness. Knowing each time that you overcame the blip, you rise above the challenge. That is business happiness.
